This website provides information about New College of Florida's Applied Data Science program and projects with organizations. The College's Accessibility & Privacy Policy is the source for its institution-wide privacy, public-records, accessibility and web-use statements. This page explains the services used on this program website. Other NCF websites may use different services.

Information you provide

The project inquiry form asks for your organization, name, role, email address and proposed work. You may also provide a phone number, area of interest, current process, timing and a description of relevant systems. Program staff use these details to review and respond to your inquiry. Submissions and staff follow-up notes are stored in a Cloudflare-hosted database; notification emails go to the program director at gsalu@ncf.edu through Cloudflare's email service. Staff access requires sign-in. The form does not accept attachments or send an automatic email receipt to the submitter.

The admissions information form is provided by NCF's admissions service at apply.ncf.edu. It loads here only when you select Load admissions form. That action connects your browser to the admissions service, which may use cookies and receives the information you submit. You can instead open the form directly using its link. Loading is for the current page visit; it is not a permanent permission for other services.

Do not put passwords, Social Security numbers, account details, patient information, student records or other confidential material in a general inquiry. Describe the proposed work first so staff can discuss an appropriate way to receive any necessary records.

Cookies, browser storage and service providers

The program website uses cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics. Optional LinkedIn advertising measurement loads only after you choose Allow advertising. Choosing Decline advertising leaves it off. Both choices leave the website, links and inquiry forms available. This site does not include Google Analytics or NextRoll advertising code; other College pages may use different services.

• Advertising preference: we save your choice and its date under ncf-advertising-consent-v1 in this browser's local storage for up to 180 days. It contains no contact information. You can change your choice using Cookie notice in the footer or clear it in your browser's site-data settings. An earlier dismissal of our old notice does not count as consent. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, advertising tracking stays off. Browser storage restrictions may make your choice apply only to the current page.
• LinkedIn advertising measurement: with permission, the LinkedIn Insight Tag receives information such as the page URL, referrer, IP address, browser/device information and time of the visit, and uses cookies and a first-party advertising identifier to associate activity with LinkedIn members. Its Website Actions feature can also collect public page names, button text and button interactions. We use it to measure advertising results and build website audiences for future advertising. We record clicks to request admissions information, open the admissions form, apply, contact the program, download a PDF or open a project inquiry. An information-request or application click does not mean the form was submitted. Our event code sends a conversion identifier, not form entries, names, email addresses or inquiry text. Tracking is disabled on staff pages, document-generation tools and the project inquiry form. See LinkedIn's Insight Tag explanation, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
• Withdrawing permission: choose Decline advertising from the footer's Cookie notice. If tracking was active, the page reloads to unload LinkedIn's code. This stops subsequent tracking on this site; it does not undo information already received by LinkedIn. Use your browser's site-data controls and LinkedIn's privacy settings to manage existing third-party cookies and data.
• Website hosting and security: Cloudflare delivers this website and processes connection information, including IP addresses and request details, to operate and protect its services. Security features may use necessary cookies. The inquiry service uses an IP-derived, hashed identifier for temporary submission limits; expired limit records are removed during subsequent limit checks.
• Website measurements: Cloudflare Web Analytics measures visits and page performance. Cloudflare describes this service as cookie-free and says it does not use local storage or fingerprint individuals. See Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Fonts: some program pages request fonts from Google Fonts. These requests disclose connection information to Google. See Google Fonts privacy information.
• Admissions and external sites: apply.ncf.edu and linked websites have their own cookies, storage and privacy practices. Closing or reloading this page stops the embedded admissions form from loading again until you request it. To remove cookies already set by an external service, use your browser's controls for that service.

You can read this website and submit a project inquiry without loading the admissions form. Browser privacy controls can restrict cookies and storage, although some external services may then work differently.

Public records and retention

NCF is a Florida public institution. Communications and submissions may be disclosed under Florida public-records requirements unless an exemption applies. Email addresses can be public records. If you do not want to provide an email address electronically, contact the College by telephone at (941) 487-5000 or by mail at 5800 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota, FL 34243.

Records are subject to applicable College retention requirements; a request to remove information does not override those requirements or a legal preservation obligation. The College's policy states that information shared with it is not sold to commercial entities. Student education records have additional protections; see the College's FERPA information.
